Stats analysis in live using the Match Intervals tool (using the example of the Union Berlin - Eintracht Frankfurt 28/11/2020 match)

The Corner-stats.com team once again welcomes all football statistics fans! Many of our users ask us to explain how the Match Intervals tool works (when a team is winning, playing a draw or is losing). The Corner-stats.com team reminds that this tool allows you to analyze the statistics of teams during a match (in live) and find bets with a good value.

Probably, you have repeatedly met tables of match intervals on different sites of football statistics, that is, how many goals (corners, cards, offsides ...) were there at different intervals of a match (from 0 to 15 min, from 16 to 30 min, etc.). ). These tables are also available on the football statistics service Corner-stats.com. But you must admit that these statistics are not very informative, because team's play in a match does not depend on the minute of a match, but primarily on whether it is winning, playing a draw, or losing during a match. It is these statistics that the Match Intervals tool can display on the tournament or team page at Corner-stats.com. Also, the Match Intervals tool contains additional options: winning or losing with a certain handicap, counting intervals from a certain minute of a match and statistics on the intervals when a team or an opponent was sent off. Read more about this here: https://corner-stats.com/match-intervals-filter-functionality-expanded/info/313

Let's consider the usage of the filter on the example of the German Bundesliga match Union Berlin - Eintracht Frankfurt (28/11/2020). Let's enter Union and Eintracht Frankfurt stats pages and generate team statistics in order of win, draw and lose intervals (based on the last 20 matches):

- when there was a draw in a match:

Goals (Handicap & Total) Corners Cards Offsides
Union Berlin +0.11 2.48 +0.69 9.85 -0.32 3.13 +0.69 4.35
Eintracht -0.29 2.41 +2.50 10.98 -0.48 3.18 -2.28 4.15

- when the team was winning:

Goals (Handicap & Total) Corners Cards Offsides
Union Berlin +0.96 3.26 -0.82 9.47 -0.95 4.79 +0.82 2.47
Eintracht +0.45 4.09 -0.23 7.95 -0.23 7.49 -1.27 4.31

- when the team was losing:

Goals (Handicap & Total) Corners Cards Offsides
Union Berlin -1.80 4.50 +0.69 9.86 +1.57 4.74 -1.61 3.44
Eintracht Frankfurt +0.38 4.55 -0.57 11.93 +0.76 5.30 +0.22 7.37

Thus, we can draw the following conclusions:

- the teams score little (play carefully) when there is a draw in a match (2.48 and 2.41 total goals), and are activated when one of the teams leads the score during a match;

- Union Berlin has a clear tendency to score even more if it is winning during a match, and concede even more if it is losing;

- Eintracht most actively takes corners when there is a draw in a match (+2.5 difference), and if it is winning in a match, there is a tendency to decrease the number of corners (7.95 total);

- Union delivers corners always approximately the same, regardless of the score in a match;

- Union gets a lot more cards than the opponent when the team is losing (+1.57 difference) than when they are winning (-0.95);

- if Eintracht Frankfurt is winning, there is a significant increase in total cards in a match (7.49);

- Union gets offsides much more than the opponent if it is playing a draw or is winning in a match (+0.69 and +0.82), and if it is losing, then it has almost no offsides (-1.61).

We hope that with the help of this preview from the Corner-stats.com team, you will discover new possibilities for analyzing statistics and will be able to find bets with a good value in live. We also draw your attention to the fact that the Match Intervals filter belongs to the live tools of the Corner-stats.com service and is available for free for goals (after registration), and for all other indicators in package from 15$/month: https://ru.corner-stats.com/pay?package=001

The 3rd reason why you could be losing at football bets is a lack in Probability theory knowledge.

If you are looking for bets that "100% win", not paying much attention to the probability of the event occurring you will not succeed. We assure you that learning the basic concepts of probability theory (probability, variance, margin, correlation, etc.) will give you many insights.

15/11/2020. Belgium - England (UEFA Nations League). Comparison of League A national teams

The Corner-stats.com team once again welcomes all users of our service and is in a hurry to share a new statistical preview. You may not really like the breaks in clubs competitions due to national teams, but we assure you that national teams games can also be just as exciting and profitable.
Consider the Belgium vs. England match on 15/11/2020 in the 5th round of the Nations League group stage. The teams play in League A (the strongest national teams) and are currently fighting for the 1st place in the group.
In order to analyze the statistics of teams in the first 4 matches, on the Nations League tournament page, we will use the filter by stage and select only League A:

Now we can compare teams of the same level (only from League A), which makes much more sense than comparing all teams together.
So, here are some interesting statistics from Belgium and England in comparison with all 16 teams in League A:

Goals:
 - Belgium has the highest team total goals: 2.5 (10 goals in 4 games)
 - England have second lowest total goals of the whole match: 1.25 (5 goals in matches)
 - Belgium has the highest total goals in the 1st half: 2.25 (9 goals in 4 games)

Corner:
 - Belgium lost on corners in 3 of 4 matches in the 1st half (-1.0 avg. difference)

Cards and fouls:
 - Belgium has the second lowest total cards of the whole match: 1.75 (7 cards in 4 games)
 - in the matches of Belgium there was not a single card for other reasons, except for a rough foul (disputes with the referee, simulation, time wasting, etc.)
 - 8 of 17 cards in England were shown in the interval 31-HT (47.1%)
 - Belgium has the lowest total fouls for 2 teams: 16.25
 - England have the best fouls-to-cards conversion (4.3 fouls per 1 card)

Shots:
 - England has the lowest total shots on target for 2 teams: 5.25
 - Belgium won on all shots in 4 of 4 games (+6.0 avg difference)

 Other:
 - Belgium has the lowest total tackles for 2 teams: 20.50
 - England has the second lowest total tackle for 2 teams: 21.00
 - England leads by wide margin in team total longballs: 82.5
 - England won on throw-ins in 4 of 4 matches (+7.5 avg difference)

We hope you found our new preview interesting and can benefit from it. You can find more useful thoughts on national team matches and football statistics in general in our group on Telegram: https://twitter.com/Corner_Stat/

Odds calculation on corners for Chelsea - Sheffield United match

The Corner-stats.com team once again welcomes all football statistics fans. Last week, our service was replenished with a new statistics analysis tool Bookmakers line calculation https://corner-stats.com/a-tool-of-bookmaker-line-calculation-developed/info/337 . And today, with its help, we will try to calculate the line on corners in the match Chelsea - Sheffield United.

Sheffield managed to tackle points at Chelsea last season (2-2 draw), but Chris Wilder's team is in terrible shape right now, making Chelsea the clear favorite in the match.

So, let's open the Corners tab on the match page https://corner-stats.com/chelsea-sheff-utd-07-11-2020/premier-league-england/match/339981 and go to the last matches of the teams. The button for calculating the bookmaker's line is located on the right next to the table of contents of Chelsea matches. By default, the individual totals of the teams (expected corners) are taken to calculate the line:
Expected corners Chelsea = Team total Chelsea + Opponents total Sheffield / 2
Expected corners of Sheffield = Team total Sheffield + Opponents total Chelsea / 2

But first, let's correct the teams' match samples. We will exclude the group of tournaments Other (clubs friendlies), and take only home matches for Chelsea, and only away matches for Sheffield. Thus, we get a couple of expected corners of the teams 6.15 - 4.25, which will be used by default in the calculation of the line:

In addition, Corner-stats.com draws your attention to the fact that Sheffield has the best ratio of team possession to team corners this season in EPL (1.87% possession per 1 corner), so we will add another 0.25 corners to Sheffield. Thus, we have the following line on corners in the match Chelsea - Sheffield United:

So, we got a base total of 10.5, like the bookmakers, but the base handicap of -1.5 differs from the bookmaker's one (-3.5), which says to bet on +3.5 on corners.

Please note that in this line calculation, we took into account the field (home-away) factor, as well as the Sheffield's ball possession to corners ratio. But there may be other important factors for you, for example, you can calculate the line based on similar matches or limit the samples of matches to the current season only, or increase the expected corners of one of the teams manually (for example, due tothe presence of high forwards in the lineup).

Discuss the match Chelsea - Sheffield United you may in our group in Telegram https://t.me/soccer_stats_and_bet. Have a nice football!
